The carrier is very comfortable to wear, as both the belt and the shoulders are padded, and having the waist belt gives better support as it distributes the weight-bearing load off your back and to your hips. Even my mom has worn it without trouble, and she's a tiny traditional Chinese lady that usually wears my baby in a Chinese Mei Tei.
